About the author

Hi there, my name is Aleksi and I’m a new born climbing maniac and a guy who was overweight
and lost around 30kg. Which I’m proud of!

I discovered climbing about 1½ years a go and got immediately hooked on it.
I’ve been climbing on and off for the past year but lately I’ve come more and more active on climbing
and climbing related training.

Climbing for me has been the first real sport I’ve done and the only sport I’ve been keen on doing for such a long time. Climbing has helped me both mentally and physically and keeping up a positive outlook towards life.

I seek to progress more in climbing and get fit and do hard and harder routes. This blog is dedicated mainly for climbing and training but I’m pretty sure you will see a lot of variation in posts.

High Crux?

High having a great or considerable extent
or reach upward orvertically; lofty; tall: a high wall.

Crux something that torments by its puzzling nature; a perplexing difficulty.

To reach high places and solving the cruxes both in climbing and life.

So thank you for reading this through and thank you for reading my posts. I do hope that they will be useful for you as well! Keep on climbing, and remember to keep on going!

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

You can email me at highcrux at gmail dot com or call me via Skype, my username is aleksimehtonen.

Damn dude, you should be! Keep up the good work! We need to go to do some climbing when I stop at Helsinki, or naturally welcome to Åland.
