Strength is the word of the day or should I say word of the coming month? Next week I will start the strength season and that means sticking to the boulder problems and applying a lot of Pro Balm to keep my skin intact (do not forget the sandpaper)
Choose 3-4 easyish-moderate difficulty boulder problems (that means the ones you can climb any day and top them without too much hassle) for around 4-5 times and keep a 2-3 minute break between every top.
Exploding megahyper strength
It’s project time. Choose those pesky, annoying boulder problem projects that you have always wanted to do and keep at them. Pick up two or three and keep them under a constant attack and reveal their secrets. Try to keep at least 5 minute break between every attempt. Keep your head cool and focused on the problem and keep the drive on!
I’ll be doing these for well over Christmas and on January we will start with the Strenght and conditioning training season and combine the two. This also means that I will be stopping the conditioning training which I’ve been doing for the past month and hope I can do few more sessions this week. It will be interesting to see how all of this really changes my climbing.
